I’m a coach and creative business owner helping people and organizations navigate change. I work with progressive groups, unions, nonprofits, social good businesses, and change-makers on leadership, organizational culture, and transitions. I also write Inside the Work of Change and create political merchandise.
17 years leading political organizations has shown me the work will always be fast moving and ever-changing. It’s the norm to feel like there’s more to do than our time allows and get pulled in a million directions. It’s easy to become addicted to the stress and adrenaline of politics and advocacy — I sure was when I was Executive Director for a national and state political organizations.
When building and leading teams and coalitions during the these tumultuous for democracy — the state of your mind and whether it’s constantly cycling or clear and focused — is actually important. Oftentimes, our political and advocacy strategy (or one’s personal leadership or life strategy) becomes muddied. We get off our path and our team isn’t very clear, or we’ve lost sight of the most important parts of what we’re building.
I help people and organizations get clear and focus on what matters, instead of constantly reacting. I provide the support I wish had existed when I needed it most.
